MOURNERS:
You are a wealthy, successful professional working in journalism or politics attending the funeral of a beloved friend. The attire is formal, conservative, and respectful. It is June and it is warm.

Gentlemen:
Dark suits, sport coats and slacks (black, charcoal, navy) with crisp dress shirts (cream, white, light grey, light blue, pale green, solid or stripes), and a dark conservative tie. If you bring blue, please bring another color option as well. Please bring a dress belt and polished dress shoes.

Ladies:
Suits, dresses (sleeveless is ok but nothing strapless), skirts, silk blouses with conservative closed toe pumps (no boots, flip flops, or open toes sandals). We appreciate small neutral purses. No hats please. It is a conservative event, so please no plunging necklines or hemlines too short. No shiny fabrics, satin, or velvet. We love a bit of color but please stick to the palette below. Gentle patterns are great but please no very busy or very bold patterns.
